Digital Marketing Specialist
Performance Ortho is a New Jersey-based orthopedic and outpatient care organization that focuses on patient outcomes and innovative marketing strategies. They are seeking a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist to enhance their digital presence and lead marketing initiatives that drive patient volume and brand authority through advanced digital execution and SEO strategies.
Responsibilities
AI & GEO Strategy: Implement cutting-edge strategies to optimize our digital footprint for AI-driven search results (Generative Engine Optimization)
Strategy to Execution: Translate marketing goals into actionable digital campaigns that drive patient volume and brand authority
Technical SEO & Schema: Manage the 'behind-the-curtain' health of our websites. You will implement and manage specialized healthcare schema markup to ensure search engines and AI models accurately 'read' our practice's data
Website Stewardship: Perform updates and landing page optimizations within WordPress. While you aren't a web developer, you understand HTML, CSS, site speed, mobile responsiveness, and how to audit technical performance
Digital Presence Management: Own the optimization of Google Business Profiles, local listings, Yelp and healthcare-specific profiles (Healthgrades, etc.) to ensure we dominate local map packs
Paid Media Cross-Training: Act as the strategic sounding board for our paid media efforts. You will be fully cross-trained to ensure continuity and strategic alignment alongside the Director of Marketing and CEO
Strategic Growth & Special Projects: Lead and support ad-hoc marketing initiatives and high-priority projects as they arise. You will collaborate with the Director to identify and execute strategies focused on maximizing operational efficiency and driving revenue growth to support our targets
Qualification
Required
4+ years of marketing experience with a proven track record of strategy and execution
Deep understanding of SEO, AI Optimization (AIO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and expert-level knowledge of E-E-A-T signals
Hands-on experience with industry SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Moz
Proficiency in WordPress (backend management, plugin optimization)
Familiarity with HTML/CSS and Schema implementation
Experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads
Must be able to work onsite at our Bridgewater, NJ office
Preferred
Experience in Healthcare/Medical marketing preferred
Strong understanding of the patient journey is a plus
