3+ years expSteel Warehouse is seeking a dynamic and innovative Product Engineer to join their manufacturing and product development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing products and manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality output and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary engineering contact for assigned customer products
Review customer prints, specifications, and requirements for manufacturability and cost (DFM/DFA)
Support quoting activities by providing technical input, feasibility analysis, and cost drivers
Lead new product introductions (NPI) from kickoff through production launch
Coordinate with tooling, machining, quality, and production teams to ensure successful launches
Manage engineering changes (ECR/ECN) and maintain accurate product documentation
Support PPAP, APQP, and customer quality requirements as applicable
Troubleshoot product and process issues related to design, materials, or manufacturing
Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to quality, cost, and delivery
Support customer communication related to technical questions, changes, and problem resolution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in product or manufacturing engineering
Experience in metal stamping or related manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and forming limitations
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, NX, etc.)
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills for both internal teams and customers
Preferred
Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing
Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans
Experience supporting customer quotes and cost models
Knowledge of secondary operations such as machining, welding, or assembly
