2026 Opolo Lab Internship
Opolo Wines is seeking two harvest laboratory associates to join their team for the upcoming harvest season. As a Harvest Lab Intern, you will be involved in all aspects of winemaking while learning from a dynamic production team, conducting key analyses and monitoring fermentation procedures.

Responsibilities
Conducting key analyses (alcohol, pH, TA, VA, ML, RS, SO2, phenolics)
Monitoring fermentation procedures and helping to implement them
Preparing and inoculating yeast, malolactic cultures, and other additions
Setting up, calibrating, and operating lab equipment—both automated analyzers and traditional wet chemistry methods
Preparing reagents, standards, and solutions for analysis
Collecting and analyzing samples from tanks, barrels, and bins
Monitoring alcoholic and malolactic fermentations
Performing lab trials and recording data in Excel
Qualification
Required
Laboratory experience and applicable course work is desired but not essential
Highly motivated team player with strong organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and perform precise work in a fast-paced environment
Punctual and prepared to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, day shifts, night shifts, and holidays
Students must take off the fall semester to be eligible for this position
Reliable means of transportation and a clean driving record
Fit and capable of working long hours, lift weights up to 50lbs, and endure extended periods of time walking, standing, and climbing ladders
