Responsibilities
Provide advanced technical support for VFDs, motor applications, and control system integration
Lead troubleshooting and performance optimization of motor-driven systems in industrial environments
Apply power quality principles (harmonics, power factor correction, IEEE/IEC compliance) to enhance drive and motor solutions
Deliver strong field service leadership to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues
Supervise, coach, and develop a small office team and field technicians
Manage resources, schedules, and priorities to ensure projects are executed successfully
Foster a safety-focused, customer-driven culture across the team
Collaborate with sales to identify and pursue opportunities in VFD, motor control, and power quality markets
Provide technical input for proposals, cost estimates, and customer presentations
Act as a trusted technical advisor to industrial clients
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
7+ years of experience with VFDs, motors, and industrial control systems, including field service work
Working knowledge of power quality concepts such as harmonics, reactive power, and PQ monitoring tools
Hands-on experience with drive commissioning, motor protection, and troubleshooting
Proven ability to lead small teams and manage projects effectively
Strong business and customer-facing skills, including technical proposals and client engagement
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Master Electrician license
Applications or field service experience with companies such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Rockwell Automation, Yaskawa, or other motor/drive OEMs
Previous leadership experience in industrial service or applications engineering teams
A balanced skill set combining hands-on technical expertise with customer-facing business leadership
