Responsibilities
Review and resolve complicated pay problems for retired and annuitant military personnel using a variety of techniques
Verify and update system modules and indebtedness transactions to ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations
Utilize automated payroll systems to research accounts, determine necessary adjustments, and calculate rates of pay
Process account discrepancies to correct payroll accounts that cannot be updated through automated systems
Calculate pay entitlements and input transactions to accurately credit or debit members' pay accounts
Respond to routine and complex inquiries from customers regarding payroll and personnel matters
Ensure all transactions are mathematically accurate and contain proper accounting data in accordance with federal laws
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

This position requires a Public Trust clearance
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level in the federal sector
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet Federal qualification requirements if you can show that your foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the U.S
Submit a copy of your college transcript (unofficial is acceptable) from an accredited institution
Once selected & prior to appointment, applicants must provide an official college transcript
If you are qualifying based in whole or part on education, you are required to provide all unofficial transcripts by the closing date of this announcement or you will be disqualified from further consideration
