Responsibilities
Reviews applications and determines eligibility for CDBG-DR programs
Conducts interviews and gathers necessary information from applicants
Explains program requirements and benefits to applicants
Enters applicant data into the programs’ eligibility software, analyzes data and makes eligibility determinations
Maintains accurate records of applicants and program participants
Collaborates with other team members, internal and external departments, and agencies
Collaborates with neighborhood groups, county departments, local municipalities, and community organizations as part of organizing, creating, and implementing CDBG-DR programs and services
Travels to neighborhoods to complete applications onsite
Provides excellent customer service to applicants and program participants
Ensures confidentiality and privacy of client information
Attends job-related training classes as requested by supervisor
Performs other related work (including weather or extreme emergency duties) as required
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree/equivalent in business or public administration
Three (3) or more years of administrative experience supporting mid-level management
Valid driver's license required with valid Florida driver's license required within 30 days of hire
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
Preferred
Haitian, Creole, and/or Spanish language skills desired
General knowledge and understanding of CDBG, CDBG-DR preferred
