Stand Out For Good, Inc. is a rapidly growing women’s fashion company dedicated to making a difference in the world. The Set Design and CNC Design Intern will gain hands-on experience in retail design and development, supporting the design and installation of storefront windows and interiors.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of parametric models for field and set design, window displays, and pop-up shop installations

Collaborate with the design team to create 3-D models and visualizations

Support the fabrication process by preparing CAD files for CNC machining and other digital fabrication methods

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery, ensuring precision and quality in production

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for design and customer activations

Help maintain and organize digital design files and documentation

Assist in the preparation of presentations and design proposals

Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are feasible and optimized for production

Contribute to the design and creation of storefront windows and other customer activations, enhancing the visual and experiential aspects of our brand

Required

Currently enrolled in a degree program in Industrial Design, Architecture, Set Design, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related field

Experience in parametric design software such as Grasshopper for Rhino, Dynamo, or similar tools

Experience with 3-D modeling software like Rhino, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Blender

Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and principles of digital fabrication

Basic understanding of CNC machining and other digital fabrication methods

Strong design and visualization skills, with the ability to create detailed and accurate models

Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in industrial design

Preferred

Experience with programming languages used in parametric design, such as Python or C#

Hands-on experience with 3-D printing, laser cutting, or other rapid prototyping techniques

Knowledge of design principles and the ability to apply them to real-world projects

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
