Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, manufacture and/or program final product, individual components, prototypes, tooling and manufacturing devices (custom design fixtures and devices for in-house use)
Evaluate highly technical production and process problems and coordinate investigations and improvements
Estimate manufacturing costs, develop time standards and develop processes for various operations
Lead in developing new operation layouts to maximize utilization of floor space and man-power
Key contributor to capital equipment selection and purchases
Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce non-value added activities and increase quality, delivery, safety, customer satisfaction and minimize production costs
Coordinate tooling to support design specifications and schedule for new products or enhancements
Initiate and process Engineering Changes in an accurate and timely manner
Lead, track, update and communicate progress of assigned engineering projects
Leverage data analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma
0-3 year's working experience in an Engineering role
Must be fluent in blueprint reading
Must be experienced in computer skills with MS Word, CAD CAM Systems and Excel

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field and/or 0-3 years' working experience
Ability to create designs using Solid Works
Robotic welding experience
Experience / training in Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement
