Basin Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a Student Intern for their Transmission System Maintenance (TSM) team. The intern will assist system protection technicians, substation electricians, and telecom technicians with various tasks including filing, testing relays, and inspecting equipment.

Responsibilities

File prints at substation and shop locations
File test records
Assist with testing relays
Assist with The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Protection and Control (PRC-005) testing
Assist with inspections, repairs and testing of substation equipment
Assist with inspections, repairs and testing of telecom equipment
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Be at least 18 years of age
Be enrolled as a full-time student two-year Electronic/Electrical Technology or related program with two semesters completed, or recent graduate (within the past 12 months)
Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
Hold a valid driver's license
Transcript required at time of application

Preferred

Previous internship or relevant work experience
Additional certifications or coursework in field of study
