Basin Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a Student Intern to assist the Transmission System Maintenance team. The intern will support technicians in various tasks including filing records, testing relays, and inspections of substation and telecom equipment.

Responsibilities

File prints at substation and shop locations
File test records
Assist with testing relays
Assist with The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Protection and Control (PRC-005) testing
Assist with inspections, repairs and testing of substation equipment
Assist with inspections, repairs and testing of telecom equipment
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Be at least 18 years of age
Be enrolled as a full-time student two-year Electronic/Electrical Technology or related program with two semesters completed, or recent graduate (within the past 12 months)
Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
Hold a valid driver's license
Transcript required at time of application
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Research and analytical thinking
Microsoft Office proficiency
Organization and attention to detail
Data entry and recordkeeping
