Responsibilities
Serve as a senior pay technician to audit and assist the work of other Military Pay Technicians
Audit and review work completed by others, providing guidance and recommending corrections to ensure accuracy
Monitor and report on the status and progress of work, ensuring that established methods and quality standards are met
Perform technical audits of closed military pay records for retirees and annuitants, which requires strict attention to detail to verify accounts and initiate corrective actions
Amend or reject work that does not meet established standards and refer questions or complex problems to a supervisor
Coordinate and arrange training activities, instructing team members on specific tasks and job techniques, and provide on-the-job training to new team members

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service
A one-year probationary period may be required

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
Submit a copy of your college transcript (unofficial is acceptable) from an accredited institution
Once selected & prior to appointment, applicants must provide an official college transcript
If you are qualifying based in whole or part on education, you are required to provide all unofficial transcripts (undergraduate, graduate, etc.) by the closing date of this announcement or you will be disqualified from further consideration
If course content cannot be easily identified from the title of the course as listed on your transcript, you must submit an official course description from the college/university that reflects the content at the time the course was taken
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet Federal qualification requirements if you can show that your foreign education is comparable to education received in accredited educational institutions in the United States
Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered
