Responsibilities
Assists in performing and managing all aspects of golf course maintenance, including mowing, fertilization, pest control, irrigation, and cultural practices
Create an environment of professionalism, respect, timeliness, and accountability among the maintenance team
Oversees and executes any and all operations necessary for golf course grow in
Calibrates fertilizer spreaders and sprayers, ensuring accurate output of all products
Maintain a safe, clean and organized jobsite
Assists and oversees preplant fertilizer applications to all turfgrass areas
Assists and oversees putting green seeding/sprigging and establishment
Oversees grassing of all other playing surfaces
Aids in keeping accurate schedules and records of all maintenance completed on course, including detailed records of all pesticide applications
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or certificate in turfgrass management, or desire to obtain
Minimum of 2 year of experience in golf course maintenance
Ability to perform most daily maintenance tasks and cultural practices
Authorized to work in the United States
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members
Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to golf course grow in demands
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to prioritize work in an extremely fast paced environment
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds
