Responsibilities
Distributes workload, assigns tasks, sets or modifies schedule
Transfers payroll information to general ledger
Delivers payroll reports to departments
Performs/assists with routine filing of tax information Federal, State, Local
Provides customer service to departments
Supplemental Payrolls
W-2 Production/quality control
Recruits, develops, motivates and monitors staff members
Completes timely staff reviews
Creates individualized staff development plans
With Director, plans and runs biweekly department meetings
Coordinates employee opinion survey action plans
Routinely reviews staff work products
Completes routine education/payroll certification
Maintains knowledge of HR policies
Participates in local payroll associations
Transfers knowledge to staff in monthly training class
Attends monthly meetings with HR
Attends monthly meetings with Finance and IS Director
Upgrades Information Systems PeopleSoft/Matrix/Kronos, E-Pay installation
Addressing Internal Audit comments, implementing payroll policies external/internal to department, documenting/testing internal controls
Customer Service Survey
Performs assessment of OhioHealth status Benefits Taxability/IRS Compliance compared to IRS requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
CPP - Certified Payroll Professional - American Payroll Association
Field of Study: Business
Field of Study: related field
5 years of experience in Payroll with automated time and attendance system
5 years of experience in multi-company payroll
PeopleSoft Experience
Matrix or Kronos Experience
strong written communication skills
Excel/Word skills
