Responsibilities

Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) as related to systems, policies, support systems, and management information systems
Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation
Perform system integration, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management
Participate in the evaluation of Navy program application of Maintenance Planning and Management as part of NAVSEA Independent Logistic Assessments
Contribute to the development of Navy Combatant Design Specifications in relation to maintenance development, requirements, and management
Conduct reliability-centered maintenance analyses and implement RCM processes in accordance with MIL-STD-3034
Participate in the review, update and revision of Navy maintenance policy instructions, manuals, software and guides
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective implementation of CBM strategies across the Fleet
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians in the areas of RCM, CBM and reliability engineering
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in CBM

Required

Degree: BS degree in a field of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
Must be able to attain NAVSEA certifications: in Classic and Backfit Reliability-Centered Maintenance (per the MIL-STD-3034 (RCM) Process)
Minimum Years Experience Required: 10 years
Required Specialized Experience: Ten (10) years of in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in a related field
Security Requirements: Must be eligible to possess a final U.S. Government security clearance
This position is primarily remote with occasional travel to the Washington Navy Yard or CACI Chantilly office. Must live in the DMV area

Preferred

Preferred Certifications: Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional, Certified Reliability Engineer
Preferred Years Experience: Ten (10) years
Current NAVSEA certifications in Classic RCM and Backfit RCM
Ten (10) years of experience in Navy Maintenance Processes and Policies
BS/BA degree in a field of Science or Engineering
Experience with Navy Combatant Design Specifications and maintenance management
Fluency in relevant maintenance and engineering software tools
Experience or fluency with maintenance-related industry standards, including but not limited to SAE International and ASD-AIA S-series Integrated Product Support specifications
Strong networking and relationship-building skills with Navy personnel and stakeholders
Passion for enhancing naval operations through innovative maintenance practices
This role is critical to the success of Navy maintenance policy, Reliability-Centered Maintenance policy, and Condition Based Maintenance policy and requires a high level of expertise and dedication
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Reliability-Centered Maintenance and a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
