Responsibilities
Represent clients in immigration matters before USCIS, EOIR, ICE, and other agencies
Handle a caseload that may include family-based petitions, removal defense, asylum, waivers, and employment-based cases
Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
Prepare clients for interviews, hearings, and court appearances
Review and approve case filings prepared by paralegals or case managers
Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and legal guidance
Attend immigration interviews, bond hearings, and court proceedings
Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely filings
Maintain accurate client records and case notes in the case management system
Stay up to date with changes in immigration law and policy
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in any U.S. state
1–3+ years of experience practicing immigration law
Strong communication skills
Courtroom experience
Thorough understanding of immigration law
Preferred
Florida Bar preferred
Experience handling USCIS and EOIR matters (family-based, asylum, waivers, or removal defense preferred)
