Responsibilities
Managing, leading, growing a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers
Creating a development plan for team members, focusing on consultative selling – focusing on SMB and Mid-Market accounts
Keeping your skills strong as a player/coach, remaining hands-on with technology, working with AEs to close complex SaaS deals
Engaging with and managing relationships with customers/accounts (Fortune 100/500) to ensure their success and growth, serving as the highest-level technical point of contact
Overseeing and establishing best practices for demos and proof of concept (POC), encouraging product adoption as a technical SME
Helping close new deals by developing relationships with decision makers (executives, vice presidents, directors) in technology within prospective accounts
Training and educating customers and community on our client’s software products
Collaborating with R&D, technical support, and product management to guide the technical roadmap of the product, suggesting new features and capabilities
Qualification
Required
6+ years of professional experience in pre-sales solution engineering and architecture
3+ years of experience leading teams of solutions engineers and architects
Experience working with sales teams to close deals as a technical and product expert
Experience with on-prem and SaaS products
Expertise in software engineering best practices, CI/CD, cloud, DevOps, DevSecOps
Experience with public clouds (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure)
Understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC
Technical knowledge of cloud security, application security, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, CI Server, Chef/Ansible, Docker, Gradle, npm, SIEM, CSPM, CNAPP, and Kubernetes
Preferred
Previous experience with hands-on software engineering
