The HR Generalist serves as a hands-on, local HR presence supporting multiple Regional HR Managers, focusing on employee relations support, onboarding coordination, and day-to-day HR execution.

Responsibilities

Serve as the local HR point of contact for employees and leaders, providing front-line support and guidance
Support employee relations matters, including intake, documentation, coaching conversations, and escalation to Regional HR Managers as appropriate
Assist with time and attendance issues, PTO inquiries, and basic payroll coordination
Coordinate on onboarding logistics, background checks, orientation support, and first-day readiness
Support disciplinary and corrective action processes by preparing documentation and tracking steps
Assist with offboarding processes, including exit logistics and system notifications
Administer and support employee understanding of benefits and leave programs, escalating complex cases as needed
Serve as a culture and engagement liaison, supporting local events and recognition efforts
Maintain accurate records and timely updates in HR systems and HRIS platforms
Partner with Regional HR Managers to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures
Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
3–5 years of progressive HR experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Sound judgment and discretion
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
Comfortable working in-office and serving as a visible HR presence

Preferred

Experience in a multi-location or high-volume environment
