Systems Analyst II
Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office is seeking Systems Analysts to perform requirements gathering, development, testing, and implementation on multiple data collection solutions. The role involves coordinating solutions across multiple business units and engaging with partner agencies to establish data interchange processes.

Responsibilities
Work with business units throughout the State’s Attorney’s Office to design, develop, and improve both currently existing data collection systems as well as new data collection data systems
Use industry-standard relational database best practices including but not limited to primary keys, logical deletes, update timestamps, changelogs, data normalization, and clear naming conventions
Design frontend interfaces that are user-centric, allowing users to enter data quickly as well as modify data once it has been entered
Design and implement data replication from the data collection systems into a reporting and analysis database
Work with outside vendors employed to help the State’s Attorney’s Office develop and implement data collection tools such as case management systems
Work with other System Analysts to help them develop high-quality products
Train staff on how to use the interface for data collection systems
Develop training documentation around interface for data collection systems
Maintain interface and data collection systems as unforeseen issues impact them
Stay current on the latest data collection technologies
Regular access to confidential information; follow strict confidentiality protocols
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology, Data Sciences, or other relevant program or other equivalent professional experience
Three (3) years of experience in Dynamics 365 CE/CRM experience as Administrator and/or Developer
Three (3) years of experience in developing .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Oracle Application Express & JavaScript programming (web services & web API applications)
Three (3) years of experience working with SQL Server or Oracle databases
Three (3) years of experience developing and maintaining data pipelines
Strong knowledge of data structures and system design
Creative problem solver with the ability to self-teach
Organized with high attention to detail
Experience with data management/analysis
Solid understanding of multi-relational data structures
Comfortable working in an iteration-based environment
Candidate must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and with a team
Candidate must have the ability to multi-task and work in a high paced environment
Preferred
Master's degree preferred in Information Technology, Data Sciences, or other relevant program or other equivalent professional experience
Previous experience working for a local, county, state, or federal government agency in information technology
An understanding of how to design meaningful data visualization
