Responsibilities

Administer and support Windows Server environments (physical and virtual) with 3–5 years of hands-on experience
Diagnose and resolve Windows OS, server software, hardware, and basic networking issues
Support and maintain Commvault enterprise backup solutions, including:
CommCell administration
Media agents and storage libraries
Job troubleshooting, reporting, and capacity planning
Design, implement, and maintain backup, restore, and redundancy strategies for mission-critical systems
Develop and manage backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies aligned with business and compliance requirements
Execute and document system restoration fire drills to validate RTO/RPO objectives
Proactively review and validate backup and server configurations
Maintain Commvault environments in the U.S. and provide operational support for international teams, including the Philippines
Assist with physical and virtual server environments, acting as a backup-focused infrastructure resource
Serve as the local 'eyes, ears, and hands' for the Linux team in Manchester, supporting hardware interaction and on-site coordination
Monitor server performance, manage file permissions, and administer Active Directory and Group Policy
Apply security updates and patches in accordance with enterprise and federal security requirements
Collaborate closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and compliant infrastructure
Participate in maintenance windows, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities

Required

3–5 years of hands-on experience administering Windows Server environments (physical and/or virtual)
Strong hands-on experience with Commvault backup and recovery solutions
Diagnose and resolve Windows OS, server software, hardware, and basic networking issues
Design, implement, and maintain backup, restore, and redundancy strategies for mission-critical systems
Develop and manage backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies aligned with business and compliance requirements
Execute and document system restoration fire drills to validate RTO/RPO objectives
Proactively review and validate backup and server configurations
Maintain Commvault environments in the U.S. and provide operational support for international teams, including the Philippines

Preferred

Commvault certification is a plus
Solid understanding of Windows Server platforms
Storage technologies
LAN/WAN networking fundamentals
Experience with VMware virtualization and enterprise server administration
Familiarity with enterprise IT tools such as remote support tools, asset management systems, imaging and deployment tools, patching and endpoint protection solutions
Experience supporting security, compliance, and audit requirements
Ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure, Linux, and cybersecurity teams
Experience with Dell servers and storage is a plus
