Responsibilities

Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with company standards
Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts
Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the technical team
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
Communicates with lead technician immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order
Willingness to learn and grow with the company
Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and drivability functions
Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to lead technician
Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies the lead technician immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle
Keeps shop area neat and clean
Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
Reports any safety issues immediately to management
Must meet productivity and efficiency goals and other KPIs set by leadership

Required

1+ years of experience as an Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Technician (specifically hands on experience with technology, diagnostics, and repair
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc
Familiar with the Pre-Delivery process
Knowledge of using a tire machine and wheel balancer
The ability to take instructions from lead technicians and/or shop foreman to ensure demands and goals are met
Has the ability to make minor repairs and parts replacements

Preferred

5+ years of experience as an Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Technician (specifically hands on experience with technology, diagnostics, and repair
Mechanical experience
Extensive experience with diagnostics and repair of vehicles as a whole
Supervisory experience
Experience working on autonomous vehicles
2+ Automotive Technician Certifications (ASE or OEM)
