Project Intern

Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D) leads the planning, development, and management of the places that shape and strengthen our communities. They are seeking a part-time Project Intern for Summer 2026 to support research, data analytics, synthesis, and project delivery across a range of client engagements.

Consulting

Responsibilities

Perform data collection and analysis to support client engagements, including:
Market and industry research
Focus group facilitation and reporting
In-person and telephone interviews
Survey design and analysis
Space planning support
Financial modeling and quantitative analysis
Internet and secondary research
Synthesize and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights that equip clients to make effective decisions
Develop accurate, well-organized presentation materials, financial models, and other project deliverables that support the team’s storytelling and recommendation development
Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support critical thinking, analysis, and the development of recommendations
Support quality control and client satisfaction efforts specific to assigned projects
Contribute to the firm’s research and development efforts by identifying new analytical tools, strengthening existing models, and exploring improved ways of working
Perform other duties as assigned, contributing thoughtfully and proactively to team and firm success

Required

Fourth-year undergraduate or graduate student studying real estate, planning, architecture, business, finance, construction management, or a related field
Directly related work or internship experience in real estate, urban planning, economic development, finance, or construction is highly desirable
Highly motivated and able to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally
Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills
Resourceful in gathering, organizing, and evaluating data and information
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with real estate, finance, and basic accounting principles
Proven adaptability, flexibility, creativity, and intellectual curiosity
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment
Reliable transportation and the ability to work part-time in Austin, Texas, during the internship period
Clear alignment with and support for the firm's mission, values, and operating paradigm
