Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day IT support for engineering, production, and technical staff
Deploy, image, configure, and maintain Windows laptops and desktops
Install and support engineering, CAD, EDA, PLC, ERP, and vendor-specific software
Troubleshoot hardware, driver, networking, and performance issues
Support onboarding and offboarding of employees
Maintain IT asset inventory, licensing, and lifecycle tracking
Hands-on responsibility for workstation setup, imaging, configuration, and rebuilds
Apply OS updates, security baselines, and endpoint protection
Join systems to Active Directory / Azure AD and apply group policies
Reimage or replace systems to maintain uptime and productivity
Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD / Microsoft 365
Manage file servers, permissions, and shared engineering resources
Maintain Synology NAS systems, backups, and recovery testing
Support VPN access, basic firewall configuration, and network troubleshooting
Monitor patching, updates, and system health
Support solidworks CAD PDM systems used by engineering teams (user access, permissions, backups)
Assist with ERP system implementation and ongoing support
Coordinate with ERP and PDM vendors as needed
Help ensure reliable data flow between engineering, manufacturing, and operations
Implement security best practices under guidance from leadership and external consultants
Enforce MFA, password policies, patching, and endpoint protection
Assist with audit log collection and documentation
Support ITAR data handling practices
Coordinate technical tasks assigned by external CMMC and cybersecurity partners
Qualification
Required
3–7 years of IT systems administration experience
Strong experience with Windows environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing users
Familiarity with backups, patching, and basic networking
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
U.S. Citizenship required
Fully on-site in Mooresville, NC
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or R&D environments
Familiarity with Solidworks PDM or ERP systems
Basic Linux familiarity (command line, file systems)
PowerShell or light scripting experience
Exposure to CMMC, NIST 800-171, DFARS, or ITAR environments
