Responsibilities
Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents and critical situations at a utilities location in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, treatment areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns
Control access by verifying identification and/or work authorization for visitors and contractors, directing authorized individuals to designated areas, and documenting entries and exits per post orders
Complete detailed activity and incident reports, monitor site alarms and/or cameras when assigned, and communicate timely updates to supervision and site contacts
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire
Customer service experience is preferred
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
