Advancement Program Coordinator, Stanley Museum of Art and Writing Programs
The University of Iowa Center for Advancement is seeking an Advancement Program Coordinator to support fundraising initiatives for the UI Stanley Museum of Art and writing programs. The role involves providing high-level administrative support, collaborating with advancement officers on donor outreach, and enhancing donor engagement strategies.

Responsibilities
Provides high level, proactive administrative support for the fundraising program of the University of Iowa Stanely Museum of Art and the UI writing programs. Works closely with campus partners and coordinates moderately complex programs with little to no direction from others
Creates, updates and modifies prospect plans in constituent database with little direction, provides reminders and follow up for advancement officers related to prospect plans, enters contact reports, pulls various data reports (Daily Gift reports, Account Balances and Activities, Holiday cards/ Event invite lists and other data management reports)
Coordinates with advancement officers to execute gift agreement documents and announcements
Provides proactive calendaring support for advancement officers; independently prioritizes and decides which meeting to move or cancel
Collaborate with advancement officers to begin to develop and manage a portfolio of non-major gift donors
Assist advancement officers in identifying and cultivating major gift donors
Collaborate with team to establish a robust annual giving approach
Support advancement officers with proposal development and stewardship materials
Enhance collaboration with UICA’s Regional Gifts team to streamline prospecting efforts and develop shared strategies for donor engagement
Develop and manage One Day for Iowa opportunities, including coordinating email messaging and thank you strategies
Identify and coordinate Gold Rush opportunities for writing for Iowa
Assist advancement officers with various follow-up activities for Writers’ Workshop and Museum planned giving drives
Assist advancement officer in enhancing the Gifts of Art and Acquisition Program
Collaborate with advancement officers to implement donor engagement strategies
Work with campus partners and advancement officers to coordinate logistics of donor impact stories and ensure they are featured in museum and writing communications
Assist advancement officers in the development of a comprehensive overview of writing communications plan. Coordinate and monitor annual communications from all writing areas
Assist with Literary Legends event, Director’s Circle Event and other outreach engagement opportunities to increase fund development
Qualification
Required
HS diploma + 9 years administrative experience, OR associate's degree + 7 years administrative experience, OR bachelor's degree + 4 years administrative experience
Benefits
This position is eligible for hybrid work (telecommuting) which includes working on-site at our office in Iowa City at least 3 days per week.
