JUNIOR CONTROLLER

IMA Group is a global leader in the development and production of automatic machines for the processing and packaging of various products. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Controller to support their Finance and Controlling team, assisting with financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
Support variance analysis between actuals, budget, and forecasts
Contribute to period-end closing activities in coordination with the accounting team
Maintain accurate financial data and ensure proper documentation according to IFRS and GAAP principles
Support cost center reporting and analysis for production, logistics, and overhead departments
Participate in product costing activities, including standard cost updates and variance analysis
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support continuous improvement initiatives
Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Collect, organize, and analyze financial and operational planning inputs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness
Use SAP (it would be a plus) or other ERP systems for data extraction, reconciliation, and reporting
Help improve system workflows and reporting tools for better transparency and efficiency
Ensure adherence to internal control requirements and corporate financial policies
Support audit activities by preparing required schedules and reports

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
0–2 years of experience in controlling, finance, accounting, or auditing
Basic knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
Familiarity with an ERP
Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling)
Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work with deadlines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Team-oriented, collaborative, and curious with a strong desire to learn

Preferred

Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with SAP ERP
Internship or working‑student experience in a financial department
Good communication and interpersonal skills
