Public Relations Manager
The New New Thing is a strategic communications advisory firm specializing in serving tech and media companies. They are seeking a PR Manager to support client accounts and ensure smooth daily operations, focusing on detail-oriented execution and proactive support.

Responsibilities
Support day-to-day execution across client accounts, including scheduling, logistics, and follow-ups
Help maintain timelines, deliverables, and action-item trackers to ensure work stays on track
Assist in the creation of key comms materials, including media lists, briefing docs, and messaging docs
Monitor media coverage, industry news, and competitor activity related to clients and share relevant updates with the team
Maintain and improve internal systems for tracking accounts, timelines, media lists, and deliverables
Keep media, podcast, and event lists accurate and up to date
Take detailed, reliable notes on client calls and ensure action items are captured and followed up on
Coordinate with external partners (finance, IT, contractors) as needed
Qualification
Required
Exceptionally strong attention to detail
Diligence and reliability: you follow through, every time
Proactivity: you anticipate needs, flag issues early, and take initiative
2-5 years of experience in a PR/comms role in the tech and/or media sector
Strong project management skills and comfort juggling multiple workstreams
Clear written and verbal communication
Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
