Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) Engineer

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) Engineer to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center's Code 34 Imaging and Electronic Warfare (EW)/Radar Systems Acquisition Engineering Team. The role involves performing and witnessing EQT events, preparing test plans, and maintaining lab equipment while ensuring effective communication with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Perform and witness EQT events and/or measurement tasks for Imaging/ISIS or EW/Radar AN/BLQ-10 systems and sub-components
Provide required input for Test Plan generation and constructive feedback on Test Plan peer reviews
Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment and install units/systems under test into the appropriate testing apparatus
Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
After test completion, verify, review, and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to Customer to review
Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
Complete basic technical and EQT procedures, interact with clients as needed, assist with basic troubleshooting, interpretation, and analysis of test results
Prepare Program Office Letters/Memo's that address EQT requirements for systems
Track, execute and close action items that are assigned
Excellent oral and written communication skills including communications with peers, project team members, and customers
Must have the ability to collaborate with team members, multi-task, and adapt to change
Maintain and grow customer relationships

Required

Position requires US Citizenship, and the ability to obtain and retain a security clearance with the US Government
Travel to Manassas, VA; Syracuse, NY; Northampton, MA or other deemed test sites is required- 10% of the time
Must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Preferred

Former experience performing some or all the following: shock, vibration, air-borne noise, structure-borne noise, enclosure, pressure, inclination, temperature and humidity is desirable
4 years of full-time Navy technician experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test and/or repair of submarine Imaging, EW, or Radar equipment is desirable
Experience with performing Power and Electromagnetic Interface (EMI) testing is preferred
