Responsibilities
Structural design of load-bearing assemblies and high-temperature components
Trade studies and concept development to meet performance and safety requirements
Thermomechanical, static, fatigue, vibration, and shock analysis using hand calculations and FEA
CAD-based design of multi-component assemblies and BOM ownership
Manufacturing, assembly, and test planning for structural subassemblies
Technical risk assessment, including FMEAs, and support of design reviews
Qualification
Required
Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, or Structural Engineering
2+ years' experience in mechanical or structural design and stress analysis
Strong first-principles skills, including free-body diagrams and load path reasoning
Hands-on experience with FEA tools and tolerance-driven design (GD&T preferred)
Engineers who want ownership of real hardware through build and test
