Responsibilities
Take responsibilities on month end NAV process. This includes and not limited to review of fund administrator reports and undertake the monthly NAV verification process
Read and understand the constitutional documents and private placement memorandums and determine how to properly account for transactions within the fund structures
Perform deliverables to operate the funds and ensure deadlines are met
Review documents related to the investment purchases to determine how to properly account for the transactions
Assess the performance of the fund and strategy
Liaise with the various auditors of the fund families
Assist with any finance related requirements for investor reporting
Undertake ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 4 years experience in working at investment fund, fund administrator, public accounting firm or similar
Degree educated with focus or major in accounting
Sound understanding of fundamental financial and accounting principles (US GAAP and IFRS)
Confident using Excel and general appreciation of data management
Willingness to challenge status quo and seek process improvement, particularly on process automation
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to take on ownership and responsibilities
Preferred
Qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) preferred
Possession of other relevant IT skills is a bonus
