Responsibilities
Efficiently complete assigned tasks and work orders to meet daily operational goals and deadlines
Maximize personal output to support overall team efficiency and achieve operational goals
Consistently perform all duties to a high standard, ensuring events integrity and customer satisfaction
Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Rotate through various departments (e.g., retail, greenhouse, nursery, events, farm, landscape, etc.) as directed by managers and adapt quickly to different departmental needs and procedures
Complete daily work tasks assigned by department managers, prioritizing responsibilities to ensure all are addressed promptly
Cross-train in different areas to develop a versatile skill set and assist in various tasks as needed
Proactively seek out additional tasks from department managers to ensure continuous productivity and support overall store operations
Ensure plants, products, and displays are well-maintained, watered, and visually appealing. Correctly label and price items according to store standards. Follow proper handling and care instructions for plants and gardening supplies
Assist in setting up promotional displays, seasonal themes, and special event setups. Ensure displays are attractive, stocked, and replenished as needed
Greet all customers warmly, offer assistance with product inquiries, and help locate items throughout the store. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure a positive shopping experience
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting all customers, answering questions, and ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously
Keep work areas free of hazards and clutter. Assist in inventory organization and stock rotation to prevent damage or spoilage
Follow all safety guidelines when handling tools, equipment, and chemicals. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to management
Communicate regularly with department managers regarding task progress, completion, and any issues needing attention
Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational objectives and communicate effectively with managers and peers regarding task progress and challenges
Perform various labor and physical tasks as needed for different departments, including loading/unloading deliveries, cleaning, equipment operation, outdoor maintenance, inventory support, and assisting with event setup and teardown
Promote and foster company’s core values
Other job duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have availability to work on weekends
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work in an outdoor & indoor work environment
Preferred
Certain departments will require 18 years age, due to selling of alcohol
Experience in and passion for Retail, Customer Service, Horticulture, Agriculture, Nursery, Greenhouse, Plants
