Sales Intern

Island is seeking a driven and coachable Sales Intern to join their SaaS sales team. The role involves engaging prospective clients through outbound cold calls and emails, while learning about B2B cybersecurity sales operations in the software industry.

Responsibilities

Make a high volume of cold calls, emails and LinkedIn activity daily to decision-makers across target industries
Help to drive attendance to Island Marketing events and do quality follow up Post events
Communicate the value of our SaaS platform clearly and confidently to potential customers
Research and qualify leads using CRM and sales enablement tools
Schedule and confirm discovery calls or demos for Account Executives
Record accurate call notes and update prospect details in the CRM
Collaborate with marketing and sales management to refine outreach strategies and messaging
Track daily activity metrics and contribute to achieving overall team goals
Create self paced projects that will help you learn and grow

Required

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field with a high GPA
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable speaking with professionals at all levels over the phone
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Competitive, resilient, and receptive to feedback
Passion for technology, SaaS products, and the sales process

Preferred

Experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach) is a plus
