Responsibilities
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot TSQL queries to support reporting, integrations, and operational needs
Maintain and support stored procedures, views, and other database objects
Investigate and resolve data issues, query performance concerns, and failed jobs/processes
Perform and support data imports/exports between systems (flat files, CSV, APIs, staging tables, etc.)
Validate incoming and outgoing data for accuracy and completeness
Support scheduled and ad-hoc data loads, transformations, and extracts
Assist with routine database support tasks such as environment copy-downs, refreshes, and upgrades
Support database deployment activities (schema changes, stored procedure updates, release support)
Monitor basic database health indicators and escalate issues when needed
Document procedures and support runbooks for repeatable processes
Work with application teams, analysts, and developers to understand data requirements
Communicate progress clearly and track work in a ticketing system
Create and maintain technical documentation for processes and database objects
Qualification
Required
At least two years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server (or similar RDBMS such as Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL)
Strong ability to read, write, and troubleshoot TSQL
Experience working with stored procedures and database objects
Familiarity with data import/export processes and common file formats (CSV, delimited files, etc.)
Understanding of relational database concepts (joins, indexing basics, transactions)
Comfortable supporting production issues and working from tickets or task queues
Strong attention to detail and ability to validate results/data accuracy
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred
Exposure to SSIS, ETL tools, or scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
Familiarity with SQL Agent jobs / scheduled tasks
Basic DBA support experience (backups, restores, refreshes, patching support)
Understanding of version control and deployment processes
Familiarity with Jira Ticketing
Experience monitoring database health
