Responsibilities

Attain sales goals related to resort account performance in the Northeast corporate, insurance and financial market segments
Prospect new business opportunities and close sales within assigned accounts and territories to enhance resort revenues
Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to reach the hotel’s revenue and market share objectives
Adjust sales focus as needed according to the unique requirements of the assigned resort property
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for consistently achieving assigned sales and revenue goals, along with meeting solicitation call targets
In addition to these duties, this role includes the responsibility of training and mentoring other team members to ensure collective success in meeting these objectives
A key aspect of the position involves proactively conducting solicitation calls, leading sales tours, and hosting clients
These activities are tailored to the Northeast corporate, insurance, and financial market segments as applicable to the property’s focus
Another important function is to actively grow the Northeast corporate, insurance, and financial market segments for the resort
This involves identifying opportunities and building relationships within these industries to drive new business to the property
The Senior Sales Manager must regularly monitor and evaluate trends within their designated market segments
This ongoing analysis ensures that sales strategies remain responsive and aligned with market dynamics
Adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality’s established regulations, company standards, sales standards, and sales metrics is essential
The Senior Sales Manager is expected to operate within these guidelines at all times
Developing a thorough understanding of the hotel’s operations and the policies of all relevant departments is required to ensure effective collaboration and informed decision-making
Maintaining a strong presence in the local community and participating in industry organizations are also important aspects of this role, as applicable
This visibility helps to foster relationships and enhance the resort’s reputation
The Senior Sales Manager may assist in implementing or participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes and similar initiatives
Attendance at daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as well as any other functions required by management, is a regular part of the position’s responsibilities
Finally, the Senior Sales Manager may be called upon to perform other duties as requested by the Managing Director or other resort leadership, ensuring flexibility and support for overall property success

Required

Candidates must hold an Associate's degree and possess at least five - ten years of experience in hotel sales
Must have Caribbean or offshore resort sales experience
A comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations is essential
Maintaining a robust network of industry and meeting planner contacts
Proficiency in Delphi and contract writing is required
Strong negotiation skills
Demonstrate a working knowledge of tours, transportation logistics
Ability to develop multiple themes for a destination resort
A valid driver's license for the applicable state is mandatory
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Experience with professional selling techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
General computer knowledge is also required
Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong organizational and presentation skills
