Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage global processes for the accounting of XR portfolio, including business growth and incentives, cost of sales, operational expenses, and the related balance sheet reconciliations
Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis, Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional business partners to define, establish, and implement accounting systems, processes, and procedures. Review processes and implement controls to ensure mitigated risk for Google
Perform month-end close processes, including agreement review and preparing/posting journal entries. Prepare and present financials to management and support with any requests from cross-functional teams
Identify opportunities and implement programs to centralize, eliminate, automate, or send out activities. Work with providers to send out established or mature processes and manage ongoing activities
Work through accounting implications and operationally support business agreements. Provide accounting guidance to Sales, Product, and other cross-functional teams

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience
4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance
Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606) Accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting

Preferred

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation
Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams
Ability to propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and challenges early, manage time, and follow work plans
Excellent investigative skills and ability to communicate effectively with executive management
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills and focus on continuous improvement
