Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software for SCEYE-SIM, supporting simulation, testing, and validation of flight and ground systems
Collaborate with avionics, networking, and systems engineers to ensure simulation environments accurately reflect real-world flight conditions
Improve software performance, reliability, and scalability to support current and future flight campaigns
Support flight readiness activities, including analysis and troubleshooting of simulation and test data
Contribute to architectural decisions, coding standards, and best practices across the software team
Mentor junior engineers and interns, providing technical guidance and code reviews
Assist in de-risking future hardware and software development cycles through thoughtful design and prototyping
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in one or more systems-level programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, Rust, or similar)
Experience working with simulation environments, avionics software, or aerospace systems
Solid understanding of networking concepts and distributed systems
Experience working in Linux-based development environments
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
Preferred
Experience supporting flight test, aerospace, or high-reliability systems
Experience with 3D and geospatial graphics and visualizations
Experience with physics modelling and analysis
Experience with data analysis, automation, and test infrastructure
Prior experience mentoring engineers or interns
