Montegallo is seeking a Manager of Data Analytics & Data Science to lead their analytics function with a focus on GCP-native data solutions and Looker-based business intelligence. This role involves owning the analytics strategy, delivery, and team development while translating business needs into scalable insights and data products.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analytics and data science professionals working in GCP
Define and execute an enterprise analytics strategy centered on BigQuery, Looker, and cloud-first best practices
Partner with executive and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact analytics initiatives
Own end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions, from data modeling and metric definition to dashboarding and adoption
Provide technical leadership across SQL, BigQuery modeling, LookML development, and analytics engineering
Ensure data quality, governance, and metric consistency across the analytics ecosystem
Communicate insights clearly through Looker dashboards, data storytelling, and executive-ready reporting

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related)
4–6 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence
2–4 years of experience managing and developing data teams
Advanced SQL and hands-on experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
Proficiency in Python or R
Strong experience with Looker, including LookML and dashboard development
Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable analytics solutions

Preferred

Experience with GCP analytics services and ELT pipelines
Familiarity with marketing and product data sources (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads)
Knowledge of data governance and analytics engineering best practices
