Responsibilities

Build and scale the internal communications function
Define and stand up Oura’s internal communications strategy, frameworks, and governance — including channels, cadences, and standards for a distributed, remote‑first workforce with regional hubs
Establish clear principles and playbooks for how we communicate company priorities, changes, and milestones across time zones and teams
Build and continuously improve internal comms processes, templates, and review workflows to ensure clarity, consistency, and speed
Own strategy, content, and execution for global all‑hands and other recurring companywide forums — including agendas, narratives, speaker prep, and follow‑up communications
Partner with executive leaders to design engaging formats that connect company strategy to day‑to‑day work, highlight wins, and create space for open Q&A and feedback
Develop repeatable rituals (e.g., quarterly business reviews, culture moments, values spotlights) that reinforce alignment as we scale
Serve as a strategic partner to the People/HR team on organizational changes, programs, and initiatives (e.g., performance cycles, benefits, engagement surveys, manager enablement, workplace policies)
Lead internal communication plans for major organizational shifts (org design changes, new offices/hubs, leadership transitions), ensuring employees understand the “what,” “why,” and “what it means for me.”
Work closely with the Executive Team and senior leaders to shape internal narratives that reflect Oura’s culture, values, and long‑term strategy
Audit and optimize existing channels (e.g., Slack, email, intranet/knowledge base, town halls) to reduce noise, increase signal, and make it easier for employees to find what they need
Develop and maintain an internal “source of truth” for company priorities, OKRs, and key updates in partnership with cross‑functional leaders
Create clear, accessible content — from CEO notes and leadership updates to FAQs, talking points, and manager toolkits — that help teams cascade information consistently
Equip people managers and local leaders with the tools and guidance they need to communicate effectively with their teams about company strategy, change, and culture
Build manager‑friendly toolkits (e.g., meeting guides, templates, FAQs, slide packs) for major launches, announcements, and behavioral expectations
Partner with our People and External Communications teams to ensure internal storytelling reflects and reinforces Oura’s values and desired ways of working
Define KPIs and feedback mechanisms for internal communications (e.g., reach, engagement, sentiment, understanding), and use insights to refine content, channels, and formats over time
Establish listening systems — from surveys and pulse checks to Q&A channels and office hours — that give employees meaningful ways to ask questions and share feedback
Act as a champion for transparency and clarity, surfacing themes and insights from the org back to leadership to inform decisions and future communications
