The role involves supporting utility control center operations and ensuring the reliability, performance, and stability of generation and EMS applications.

Responsibilities
Support and maintain generation-related EMS applications, including:
Automatic Generation Control (AGC)
Load Frequency Control (LFC)
Load Forecasting
Economic Dispatch
Power Flow
State Estimator
Contingency Analysis
Operator Training Simulator (OTS)
Provide hands-on support for EMS platforms, preferably GE PowerOn Reliance (XA/21) and/or AEMS/GDC, as well as equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider, or similar vendors
Install, validate, and deploy fixes and patches on live customer EMS systems
Analyze logs, traces, and debug files to troubleshoot real-time system issues
Support EMS infrastructure across Linux and Windows environments
Work with EMS and SCADA communication protocols including IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, and OPC
Perform database troubleshooting and support using Oracle and SQL Server
Develop scripts and system integrations using C, C++, PERL, shell scripting, or similar languages
Qualification
Required
Strong expertise in generation-related power system applications
Hands-on experience supporting real-time, mission-critical EMS environments
Experience installing fixes on live systems
Troubleshooting complex operational issues
Support utility control center operations
Ensuring the reliability, performance, and stability of generation and EMS applications
Energy Management Systems (EMS)
Power system generation applications (AGC, LFC, Economic Dispatch, etc.)
Real-time and mission-critical system support
GE PowerOn Reliance (XA/21)
AEMS / GDC
EMS platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider (or equivalent)
Linux & Windows operating systems
Oracle & SQL Server databases
SQL and shell scripting
C, C++, PERL (or similar system-level languages)
