High Voltage Engineer
Optimal Inc. is seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Engineer with expertise in electrical engineering and charging systems. The role involves the design, development, and testing of consumer charging systems for electric-powered products, while providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
Ensure the continuous improvement of our products
Work with high current power outlets or DC to AC inverters
Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of charging solutions with electric vehicles and consumer products
Provide expertise in charging technologies, including AC and DC charging, wireless charging, and fast-charging solutions
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and certifications (High Voltage system standards)
Effectively manage projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality charging solutions
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in the design, development, and testing of consumer charging systems for ICE, EV, and other electric-powered products
Deep expertise in electrical engineering, embedded systems, and charging infrastructure technologies
Solid understanding of industry standards (DC-AC systems, High Voltage power outlets systems, and standards around the world)
Understanding of safety regulations
Technical leadership experience
Mentoring junior engineers
Continuous improvement of products
Application Architect, PPAP, 3D Modeling, Technical Requirements, CATIA
Knowledge of automotive electric systems
Ability to identify and explain the PPAP process and the difference between PPAP0,1,2,3
Experience working with high current power outlets or DC to AC inverters
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field
5+ years of experience in designing and testing consumer charging systems or related technologies
Expertise in charging technologies such as AC/DC chargers
Deep understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.)
Experience with industry safety standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 26262, UL, IEC, FuSa)
Proficiency with embedded systems and electrical circuit design
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on consumer-facing solutions
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring engineering teams
Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies within the consumer charging space and integrate new technologies
