Sr. Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer will collaborate with engineering, research and development, and customers to define system architecture and requirements, manage risks, and improve product efficiency.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with customers to define customer product specifications and use cases
Collaborates with cross functional teams to define system level and derived requirements
Drives compliance with internal requirements, internal processes, customer requirements, and customer product specifications through the use of cross functional reviews
Identifies and ensures visibility to risks through the use of standardized system engineering tools and processes
Defines requirement validation methods
Proactively derisks projects through collaboration with all functional business areas to validate and test designs early in the development process
Actively drives modular architectures to increase design commonality and product efficiency
Identifies areas of improvement with system design and validation process and drives the team to improve
Participates in defining and improving system engineering processes and tools at EaglePicher
Works with the project teams to define integration plans
Works within the Aerospace technical roadmap to achieve improvements in both product and processes
Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing hardware by enrolling in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a design, integration, or verification engineering role
Experience in requirements management tool(s) such as DOORS
Must be a U.S. Persons

Preferred

Experience in model-based system design
