Call Center Medic
Divers Alert Network (DAN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and safety of scuba divers worldwide. They are seeking a Call Center Medic to provide dive-related health and safety information to clients and medical professionals, ensuring accurate and evidence-based guidance on diving issues.
Responsibilities
Be responsible and on time for all your shifts at the office or from home
Be polite, respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly to everyone, focusing on customer service
Using your EMT experience, always provide clients with the most accurate and evidence-based health information, constantly relying on the interaction and support from your colleagues and supervisors
Thoroughly document all client interactions; all calls are recorded to help you
Constantly seek to update your knowledge and collaborate for the team’s collective knowledge
Help identify opportunities and propose solutions to increase the efficiency of our services
Contribute to collecting, compiling, analyzing, and publishing relevant medical information
Ability to participate in on-site and off-site public speaking at medical and diving events when invited by the company’s leadership
Qualification
Required
Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced (EMT-A) is required
Three years minimum experience is required
Ability to commute/relocate: Durham, NC 27705: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
Advanced EMT license (or higher) (Required)
Day Shift (Required)
Preferred
Paramedic level (EMT-P) is preferred
A college education is preferred
Minimum three years of experience as an EMT
Customer service experience
Dive medicine knowledge is preferred but not required
Excellent medical verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate computer skills and a good ability to learn
SCUBA diving certification is desired
Bachelor's (Preferred)
EMT-A (or higher): 3 years (Preferred)

SCUBA Diving certification (recreational, commercial) (Preferred)
