Responsibilities
Design, build, and scale our backend infrastructure to process time-series network traffic, at large scale, in real-time
Build and maintain AI algorithms to analyze time-series network data to improve API discovery, metrics, and more
Take ownership of the engineering roadmap for the backend infrastructure of Postman Insights, setting the technical direction and priorities
Collaborate with documentation and marketing teams to help explain the capabilities and limitations that the infrastructure unlocks
Partner with the broader team to make design and architecture decisions for Postman Insights
Support the engineering manager in growing the team by contributing to technical planning, onboarding new members, and participating in hiring efforts
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience shipping production-grade software
Experience scaling large-scale software systems
Proven ability to work independently, with at least two significant projects where you were either the primary contributor delivering substantial portions of the work and/or led a team of engineers to successfully execute the project
Strong communication skills, with a track record of aligning cross-functional stakeholders and unblocking challenges to meet business objectives
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area
Preferred
Experience working on an early-stage product
Experience working with time-series data
Experience collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones
