Responsibilities
Design pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical diagrams
Design electrical control panels
Develop PLC and HMI software
Debug, test, and support system startups
Support installation of tools and new equipment
Provide technical support and training to plant personnel
Travel up to 20% as needed (approx. 6 times/year, Michigan)
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree required
5–7 years of controls or manufacturing experience (less considered for strong candidates)
Strong experience on a manufacturing plant floor
Ability to troubleshoot under pressure in a fast-paced environment
PLCs: Siemens, Allen-Bradley / Rockwell
Robotics: Fanuc robots/cobots
Vision systems: Cognex, Dalsa, Matrox
HMI development
AutoCAD
Familiarity with electrical and safety standards
Preferred
Bachelor's preferred – Electrical Engineering ideal
Automated material handling (AMRs, auto fork trucks – preferred)
