They are seeking a Quality Control Engineer to manage quality compliance, assist with technical issues, and coordinate with project teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout construction projects.

Responsibilities

Contract/Scope/Specification review and interpretation
Pre-construction specification review
Pre-construction mix design review in conjunction with Corporate Quality Director, Materials specialists and suppliers
Project safety compliance
Regional project quality compliance
Periodic project visits and quality compliance reviews
Work with project teams to develop solutions to quality issues
Coordination with GC/Owner when necessary
Coordination with CSI Operations manager regarding manpower/resources
Support and manage project quality staff within assigned region

Qualification

Concrete construction experienceConstruction principles knowledgeConcrete production knowledgeApplicable codes knowledgeProblem-solving skillsProject management experienceCommunication skillsTeamworkAdaptabilityCreativity

Required

5+ years of experience with concrete construction
Bachelor's degree in Construction management, Engineering or other construction related field recommended
Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices required
Strong technical knowledge of concrete production, testing and placement practices
Strong knowledge of applicable codes (ACI, PCI, TCA)
Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
Experience leading successful project teams, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities
Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment
Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding
