Oceanside Unified School District is seeking an Administrative Secretary II to join their Information Technology Department. Primary/Secondary Education

Responsibilities

Provide administrative assistance duties to relieve the administrator of administrative detail
Assure efficient and timely completion of office and program projects and activities
Establish and maintain complex filing systems which contain confidential or sensitive information
Compile and supervise the preparation of complex reports
Compose correspondence and written materials independently or from oral instructions
Understand and resolve issues, complaints, or problems
Interpret, apply, read, understand, and explain laws, rules, regulations policies, procedures, and material
Work independently with little direction
Prioritize and schedule work
Maintain financial and statistical records
Train and provide work direction to others
Compile and verify data and prepare reports
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Complete work with many interruptions
Establish and maintain professional, cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Communicate with diverse groups and individuals

Required

Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or equivalent, supplemented by college-level coursework in business, office management or related field
four years of increasingly responsible clerical or secretarial experience
Related work experience in an educational environment is desirable
Knowledge of: Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and composition
Knowledge of: Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
Knowledge of: Digital communication tools and applications
Knowledge of: Terminology, processes, and operations of assigned office or program
Knowledge of: Operation of a computer and assigned software
Knowledge of: Financial and statistical record-keeping and reporting
