Accounts Payable Specialist

W3Global is seeking an experienced and energetic Accounts Payable Specialist to join its Accounting team at a busy personal injury law firm. This role supports day-to-day accounts payable operations and assists with settlement-related and trust accounting functions.

Responsibilities

Assist the Accounting Manager with daily accounts payable transactions
Review vendor invoices and bills for accuracy prior to processing and posting
Process checks for vendors, clients, and medical providers
Support the Accounting team and serve as a backup for settlement rotation tasks
Assist with preparing and maintaining daily deposit spreadsheets
Help process client settlement checks and electronic payments
Properly maintain and reconcile client trust (IOLTA) accounts

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or Associate's degree in Accounting with: 3+ years of hands-on experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk/Staff, or 5+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably within a personal injury law firm
Familiarity with IOLTA accounts; prior experience in a personal injury law firm strongly preferred
Proficiency with accounting software, including QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience using Filevine or similar legal case management software preferred
