Responsibilities

Handling complex estate planning and wealth transfer matters
Utilizing advanced estate planning techniques
Conducting gift, estate, income tax, and GST planning
Engaging in charitable and family business succession planning
Preparing estate and gift tax returns
Managing complex trust administration and probate matters from start to finish

Qualification

Trusts & Estates experienceAdvanced estate planning techniquesTax planningLegal writing skillsOrganizational skillsCommunication skillsAttention to detailTime-management skillsSelf-starterCollaborative work

Required

7+ years of experience handling complex estate planning and wealth transfer matters
Advanced estate planning techniques
Gift, estate, income tax, and GST planning
Charitable and family business succession planning
Preparation of estate and gift tax returns
Managing complex trust administration and probate matters from start to finish (with paralegal support)
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Admitted to practice in Illinois and in good standing
7+ years of trusts & estates experience as described above
Excellent analytical and legal writing skills
Strong organizational and technology skills
Superior oral and written communication
Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading ability
Self-starter comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously
Strong time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred

Portable business is a plus but not required
