Research Technician - Philpot

Responsibilities
Performing mouse behavioral experiments
Mouse colony organization and breeding
Histological assays (e.g. immunocytochemistry)
Confocal microscopy
Tissue collections and processing (dissections, sectioning, immunohistochemistry)
Data analysis
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work
Prior laboratory experience in a related field such as Microscopy, Immunohistochemistry or Genotyping
Understanding of rodent behavior
Basic understanding of neuroscience
This position will require animal handling
Must be able to stand up to 6 hours/day
Must be able to move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to climb a step ladder
