Prototype & Integration Engineer Intern

InternHarbor Industries is seeking a Prototype and Integration Engineer Intern to provide hands-on engineering experience in a production-oriented environment. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers to support the design, integration, and testing of prototype and production-level systems, gaining exposure to various engineering domains.

Responsibilities
Assist with schematic design and documentation at both system and circuit levels
Perform power analysis across AC and DC electrical systems
Support the design and development of robust, production-level systems
Use laboratory equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, and related tools
Assist with microcontroller firmware development, flashing, and debugging
Support IoT development using Node.js and/or Python
Participate in system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities
Document designs, test procedures, and results to support development and knowledge transfer
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges
Other duties may be assigned at any time
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a degree in an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related degree program
Experience with microcontrollers or embedded systems
Exposure to firmware development and debugging tools
Basic programming experience with Node.js, C++, Python, or similar languages
Familiarity with power systems, AC/DC analysis, or electrical safety concepts
Fundamental understanding of electrical circuits and electronic components
Familiarity with basic lab equipment and safe laboratory practices
Willingness to learn new technologies and take on unfamiliar challenges
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
