Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end solution design and development using Appian BPM/low-code platform
Translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical implementations
Oversee integrations with multiple systems and platforms within the insurance ecosystem
Define architectural direction, ensure compliance with best practices and internal standards
Provide guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior developers
Partner with cross-functional teams across product, data, and infrastructure groups
Champion process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives across the platform
Qualification
Required
Strong, hands-on Appian development experience including SAIL, rules, process design, and integrations
Proven background delivering workflow solutions in insurance or financial environments
Solid understanding of BPMN, REST/SOAP integrations, and enterprise data modeling
8+ years of software development or solution delivery experience, including leadership of small teams
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
Experience with Agile and DevOps environments
Preferred
Appian Senior or Lead Developer certification strongly preferred
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and microservices architecture
Background in Java, .NET, or Python is a plus
